Brazil's pork exports rose 39 per cent in the first seven months of the year from a year earlier

Brazil's pork exports reached 100,000 tonnes in July, up 47.9 per cent from a year earlier, according to the Animal Protein Association of Brazil (ABPA). In the first seven months of this year, pork exports totaled 579,900 tons, up 38.78 percent year on year. Strong demand in The Asian market is an important factor. In the first seven months of this year, Pakistan exported 456,000 tons of pork to Asian countries, up 82.9 percent year-on-year, including 282,000 tons to China, up 143 percent year-on-year. Pakistan exported 364,000 tons of chicken in July, down 5.7% from a year earlier. In the first seven months of this year, chicken exports reached 2.471 million tons, up 0.5 percent year on year.
